Terms of Service

Draft — last updated 29 September 2026

This is a draft template, not legal advice. It hasn’t been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it checked against your actual product and obligations under Australian Consumer Law before this page goes live.

1. What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of VicPropGuard, a compliance record-keeping tool for Victorian residential landlords. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

2. Not legal advice

VicPropGuard helps you record and track information relevant to your obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (Vic). It does not provide legal advice, and using it does not guarantee compliance or a particular outcome at VCAT. You remain responsible for your own statutory obligations as a rental provider, and should seek independent legal advice for your specific circumstances.

3. Your account

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, and for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use VicPropGuard to store information you’re not lawfully entitled to hold, or to interfere with the service’s normal operation.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. We’ll give reasonable notice of planned maintenance where practical.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, VicPropGuard is provided without warranties beyond those implied by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. [Placeholder — liability limitations to be set with legal advice before launch.]

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll let you know of material changes before they take effect.

8. Contact
